A matching game to test your memory using 20 pairs of tiles featuring original drawings by Roeburne District Kids during a workshop for Juluwarlu and Lightwell Studios.
The 40 tiles are presented in a box that has both the Yindjibarndi and english names so players can learn a new language while they play.
Play alone or with friends and family.
Juluwarlu’s purpose is to collect, sustain and promote knowledge of Yindjibarndi culture. The majority of Yindjibarndi people live between Roebourne or Karratha and the Ngurrawaana Community, located on Yindjibarndi Country in the Millstream/Chichester National Park, more than 1700km’s north of Perth in our Pilbara region.
The products and artworks you here are created from, and contribute to the recording of stories, language, genealogy and social history of Yindjibarndi’s incredible culture and people. It is a culture more than 53,000 years old carried down from generation to generation. They do this for their children and the future generations so that they too, are inspired to contribute to their indigenous Australian national community.
