Scarf . Token of Love
Scarf . Token of Love
This scarf features a beautiful and rare black-and-white embroidered panel from 1821 Thoughtfully stitched by artist Agnes Dickinson, it features the words “Token of Love” and “Those absent yet beloved” in amongst the intricate birds, wreaths and flowers. This charming panel is married with another heart-centred work of art — a French woodcut made by Lucienne Marchal from the early 1930’s. Featuring a ribboned heart with the words (in French) “I hope you get everything your heart desires this year”, it contains sweet little images representing wishes — including travel, friendship, jewellery, adventure, family, gardens and love. Lucienne and Agnes were centuries apart — but we think they make an amazing match ;)
This scarf is modelled on the size and weight of favourite vintage French scarves to create chic, easy to wear designs for every day use. Wear them wrapped once around the neck, tucked in to a jacket, or tied in the hair.
